Congratulations Anjie Parker on 10 years of service at Statewide Oil in Adelaide.
Anj commenced her role in customer service on July 16th, 2012 after recently making the permanent move to Australia with her family. “Why Australia?” they said…..where it’s hot and dry, snakes, spiders, crocs, sharks and anything else that might want to kill you. The Parkers had actually spent time in Australia on and off prior to this with Shane (Anji’s partner) racing speedway motorbikes around the globe.
Anj took the ultimate leap of faith in 2017 heading off for the Australian citizenship ceremony and we can almost truly call her an Aussie. We say almost because we still do struggle to this day with “lorries” picking up stock (no Anj, they are trucks) trying to get Anj to understand what a long drop loo is, “High Tea” is not a thing for us, and driving 900kms or more is “just up the road”!
On a serious note, Anj has been and will continue to be an asset to the business. Her customer service first mentality, enthusiasm, work ethic, knowledge and being Statewide Proud is a pleasure to be associated with. Our customers comment regularly on how great Anj is on the phone going out of her way to make sure correct products are processed, and also strong enough to question “is that the right product” when an out-of-the-ordinary order is received.
Well done and congratulations Anj, we laugh a lot as a team and your ability to make us all laugh with those crazy British comments, makes the days go by with ease.
