Damian comes to us with 20+ years of experience in the Oil and Automotive industry with advanced knowledge of Mobil products. Let’s get to know Damian a little more!
Damian, can you please explain your role at Statewide Oil?
My main role is to work closely with distributors Tasco (based in Northern Victoria, Southern NSW and Eastern South Australia) and Tas Petroleum to support and help grow their business.
What was your first job?
Straight out of university I started as an accountant with Ingham Chickens which saw me licking way too many stamps. Fortunately, very early into the role on one Friday night at the local, the Ingham Sales State Manager offered me a sales role that had the same wage bracket but included a new Commodore.
What’s your favourite thing to do with your family?
Family Holidays and a chance to spoil the family. Unfortunately, covid has put this on hold in recent years. I’m planning for something early 2023
Do you have any pets?
We have a rescue dog that is half Staffordshire and we believe half Jack Russell? Anouk has spades of energy, is very quick off-the-mark chasing rabbits and is extremely friendly. He must introduce himself to every human/dog he meets on his walks.
What’s your idea of a perfect day?
Watching my son early Saturday morning play basketball. Follow up watching my oldest son play local senior football in the afternoon and finish off with my daughter winning a Grand Final under the lights at the G for Melbourne FC providing a fitting send-off for Daisy Pearce.
Favourite quote or piece of advice anyone has ever given you?
Treat people the way you want to be treated. Talk to people the way you want to be talked to. Respect is earned not given.
